This turned out to be quite a challenging week to fit everything in. On a ‘relief week’ at work I wasn’t entirely sure which shifts I would be working and with a few last minute changes and poor weather it meant that I had to switch my training plan around a few times. By Friday morning I had worked 75 hours in 7 days and was pretty exhausted. Nevertheless, I only skipped 1 session (an easy 4.5km run) and managed to fit in all of the key sessions. I felt a lot better than last week on both my long run (15.4km) and long ride (71km) and did a short brick run after the long ride. Next week I will be gradually building on the distance again before an easy week away in Niue.
